Citizens Advice Gateshead is an independent charity and at the moment we are facing unprecedented demand on our advice services and we need your help to expand them so that everyone gets the advice and support they need during this crisis. Even a small donation can make a huge difference but we know that money can be tight now so we have come up with ways that you can help us out without it costing you a penny!
Register with Easyfundraising and a percentage of your spend with dozens of popular chains, including shops like Tesco, Morrisons and Wilkos, will be donated to us. Register, nominate us as your charity of choice and shop through the site. It's hassle-free donation.
And if you use Amazon, switch to Amazon Smile. Again, it's simply a case of nominating Citizens Advice Gateshead as your chosen charity and then everything you order through the Amazon Smile website will generate a small donation to us.
Have you watched all the DVDs you’ll ever need to watch?
Has your ‘to-read’ pile become a ‘read that!’ pile?
Has your spring cleaning unearthed games and toys you’d forgotten you’d bought?
If you’ve been spring cleaning, watching old DVDs one last time or making your way (finally) through that pile of books you’ve been putting off for months – or years – you can use a service like Ziffit, musicMagpie or webuybooks.co.uk to send off your used stuff and get money back for them … which you can then donate to us.
We call it Recycle and Raise - taking old thing lying around the house and recycling them into donations. Before lockdown, we’ve had hundreds of books donated to us to sell in this way. Now, we need your help to keep going and continue helping people throughout Gateshead get the free independent impartial advice they deserve.
If you would like to help us to raise money by clearing out your old books, DVDs and tech, email us or fill out the form below and we will send you a handy guide to Recycle and Raise and how you can make sure your donation gets to the right place.
