Citizens Advice Gateshead is a local charity that punches above its weight. As well as delivering digital advice to over 400,000 people every year nationally, our Community Advice Service delivers free social welfare advice, information and guidance to over 12,000 Gateshead residents a year under the well-recognised membership of Citizens Advice. We are now looking for an experienced service manager who has grass roots experience of supporting people facing often multiple and complex challenges, and who has the skills to lead a team of staff and volunteer advisers, develop existing and new partnerships and collaborations, and increase our reach through innovative community-based delivery models, to fulfil our aim to support people to know and understand their social welfare rights and responsibilities, so they can improve their quality of life, through:
The Community Advice Service Manager will be joining the charity at an important time in our history. Never have more people needed our help more than they do now. We need to grow our reach and our impact, through driving innovation and efficiencies, our advice team needs direction and support, and our leadership and management team needs a missing cog who will truly help us to rock the system.
