A Corporate Services Director who can help a dynamic, growing charity to blaze the trail - is that you?
Citizens Advice Gateshead is an independent local charity, and a member of the national Citizens Advice network. As a team of over 160 staff and 50+ volunteers, we punch above our weight locally and nationally, mobilising knowledge through the delivery of tangible social value, in many different guises, to thousands of people every year.
Our vision is a fair society for all, with lives well lived. As set out in our strategic plan, we aim to be an enduring and dynamic charity that never stands still until we have achieved this vision.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Corporate Services Director will make an essential contribution to all aspects of policy, strategy and operations to accelerate the charity’s progress towards our vision. This is a new position that reflects our ambition to continually grow the impact of the charity for the benefit of our clients, our staff and volunteers, and our strategic partners locally, regionally and nationally.

The post holder will also be responsible for the management, supervision and continuous development of the corporate services team comprising 4 members of staff and multiple external partnerships and suppliers.
Our ideal candidate will be a senior strategic leader who is professionally qualified (eg finance, law, business administration) and has proven experience of driving change within a charity or publicly funded organisation.
Through your career to date you will have been accountable for highly effective financial management in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment, balancing innovation and future proofing with rigorous ownership of governance and company secretarial duties. You will also have driven substantial improvements in organisational efficiency and culture through quality, IT and facilities infrastructure.
