To achieve this, we deliver services locally to almost 13,000 people a year, and support over 400,000 people nationally through digital advice and information services, including the discrimination advice service.
This newly formed role has been introduced to manage all aspects of our highly valued Money Advice and Pension service contract. It will involve monitoring and continually improving the quality and recording of our debt advice through structured, adviser-centred supervision, supporting Citizens Advice Gateshead to continually improve the effectiveness and consistency of our working practices and the support we deliver to clients. Where appropriate the Money Advice Specialist will also undertake debt casework to provide the best possible outcome for clients facing more complex and challenging issues.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of debt casework experience, having consistently secured the best possible outcome for clients. They will also hold a current Certificate in Money Advice and Practice or Level three Diploma in Debt and Money Advice, or will be able to achieve this standard within six months of commencing the role. We are looking for someone with the confidence to network and share good practice with external providers and partners, whilst internally they will be able to manage sometimes conflicting deadlines and prioritise work, with a robust commitment to putting the needs of the client first.
