Miriam Harte, Patron
"In a time of crisis and uncertainty you became a beacon and huge support … a lifeline in fact."

Having recently taken up the role of Patron of Citizens Advice Gateshead, Miriam is also a Board and Committee member at Thirteen Housing, the former Chairman of Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys Trust, and has held non-executive roles in the NHS for more than 10 years.
Miriam came to Newcastle in 1986 as a Chartered Accountant to join Procter and Gamble and in 1998 embarked on a career change which led her to running two museums, first Bede’s World in Jarrow and then Beamish, both roles that combined organisational and community leadership. She ran her own heritage/charity consultancy for 10 years giving Miriam significant ‘on the ground’ experience of community project development and fundraising.
