

Who the service is for: Staff working at Newcastle Hospitals.
What we can help with: Social welfare issues including benefits, housing, employment and debt. Where a person lives outside the Gateshead local authority area, they may be signposted to an appropriate national debt organisation.
Drop-in services: Every Tuesday, 10am–1pm, at the MediCinema, Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI); and every Tuesday, 11am–2pm, in the prayer room immediately before the Chaplaincy at Freeman Hospital.

Who the service is for: People in the North East affected by leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or other blood cancers or disorders, including children, carers and family members.
What we can help with: Benefits, debt, charitable grants, travel and transport schemes, housing, employment, consumer issues, access to services, complaints, referrals and signposting.

Who the service is for: People challenging welfare benefit decisions, including matters before an appeal is lodged and appeals already in progress.
What we can help with: Advice, assistance and, where capacity and timescales allow, casework or representation. If the appeal hearing is within one month of the appointment, support is likely to be limited to advice.

Who the service is for: Neurodivergent clients and the parents or carers of people with neurodiverse conditions, including autism and ADHD, as well as people with more complex needs.
What we can help with: Benefit forms, challenges to benefit decisions up to tribunal, housing issues, income maximisation, debt and related social welfare matters.
