Valentines SHOW THE LOVE Campaign launches

The team at Citizens Advice Gateshead is asking you to show the love this Valentines Day

For less than the price of a supermarket Valentines Card you can contribute towards the charity's fundraising campaign throughout February.

Our impartial advice and information services have never been in greater demand, and of course there's just not enough grants to go around. We need to invest in building our resource through training volunteers and recruiting more supervisors and social welfare advisers, so we always have the capacity to help anyone who needs us.

Jayne Graham MBE, Commercial Director at the charity in Gateshead, explains "The Show the Love campaign is targeted at people who don't have a need for our services at the moment, but they never know when they might, and we want to make sure we never need to turn anyone in need away. We deliver a 'whole population service' that's available to anyone who lives or works in Gateshead. We do receive funding through grants, but with demand higher than ever before we must invest in building our service, and with our value of making 'every pound count' every donation received can make a difference."

So if you would rather show the love to your local charity, than spending on a Valentines card this year, the campaign encourages you to text SHOWLOVE to 70450 to make a £2 donation (texts cost £2 plus one standard rate message).
