We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. At Citizens Advice Gateshead we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice. When we say we're here for everyone, we mean it. Our aim is always to give you the knowledge and confidence you need to find your way forward, whoever you are and whatever your problem.

We can help with lots of things, like getting benefits, finding a job, finding a place to live, dealing with family issues, shopping wisely, handling debts, and understanding immigration rules. We can support with filling out forms such as Blue Badge Applications or Benefit Applications. We sometimes represent clients in court if they've been treated unfairly, like in Welfare Benefit decisions or Employment Tribunals. Sometimes, we can even visit clients at home if it's necessary, although we can't do that for everyone. If there's something we can't help with, we'll refer clients to someone who can.

We know that you may have more than one issue that you need help with. That's why we support anyone who lives, works or studies in Gateshead with more than just benefits:

We can you to deal with breaches of contract around your wages or the hours that you work, and can support with grievances and formal disciplinaries. If you're made redundant, we can provide advice on your redundancy rights.
