Brighten the Days of Gateshead Children Appeal
We are supporting Gateshead Council's Coronavirus Support Community Hub programme which is helping people in desperate need in our communities. Many of the families the council is providing food and supplies to have children of all ages, but do not have the resources to provide activities that will give their children some enjoyment and keep them occupied.
This appeal is for children's activities that will help to brighten their day, for Gateshead Council's Coronavirus Support Community Hub teams to distribute to families most in need across the Gateshead Council area.
If you run a business is there any chance you could donate new, or nearly new, children's books, drawing pads, stationery of any type, colouring books, puzzle books, jigsaws, coloured pencils, crayons and pens, craft sets, toys (without batteries)? For those children that have the space to use it we're also looking for sports equipment such as footballs, hula hoops, skipping ropes, bat and balls. Any donations - of these items, or even a small cash donation if you would like to help - would be hugely gratefully received.
If you can help us to help Gateshead's effort to 'Brighten the Days of Gateshead Children' , we would love to hear from you - just drop us a line using the form below and we will get in contact with you by return to make arrangements.
With the generous support of the Sir James Knott Trust, we are able to bring community and voluntary sector organisations across Gateshead and Newcastle this unique free online training. If you are supporting people facing dementia, or their families, this training will help.
