Volunteer with us

We rely on the generous contributions of our volunteer community to build the capacity we need to help people at the time they need us most.
"I cannot praise you enough for
the volunteer opportunity
you gave me
and the training I received."

Step forward as a member of our volunteer community

Citizens Advice Gateshead is a local charity that makes a difference to people's lives every single day, and our volunteer community gives us the capacity we need to do more, for more people. It's as simple as that.

By giving your time to support critical services for local people and communities you will be contributing towards a fairer society, helping more people to have a life well lived.

So if you have some free time, and are considering volunteering, we would love to hear from you, or come along to one of our online information sessions to find out more.

Volunteer to springboard towards your goals

If you join our volunteer community you can be certain of getting at least as much back as you give.

Through our Springboard for Volunteers Programme we will help you to define exactly what you want to get from your volunteering commitment, so we can help you see the difference you've made from day 1.

What do you want out of your volunteer experience?

To improve your employment prospects?
We can help you build your CV, no problem!

To give back to the community?
We can show you exactly how you've made a difference.

Or maybe you just want to be part of something, have a new purpose or interest?

To improve your personal skills and have new experiences? We've got that covered!
